About Derek
Derek Miller, a Chicago native, was a mainstay of the L.A improv community performing and teaching for over 30 years at The Second City, IOWest, and UCB. He performed with "Opening Night: The Improvised Musical" in over 1000 performances. He leveraged his improv talent into casting sessions, directing, teaching and acting. On screen, he worked on Scrubs, The Goldbergs, Superstore, Drunk History, Transformers 3 and has been in over 150 commercials. He's been in the UK for five years writing for Nickelodeon and a feature for Amazon, and recently used his improv skills with Tim Burton and Edgar Wright!

� Age Requirement:
Open to participants aged 16 and above.
� Improvisation Masterclass: Join acclaimed actor, improviser, and director Derek Miller for a high-energy, four-hour deep dive into the art of comedy improvisation. Whether you're an experienced performer or new to improv, this workshop is designed to sharpen your instincts, boost your confidence, and elevate your presence on stage and screen.
� Venue: 2 & 4 Millers Yard CIC, Gillygate, York, YO31 7EB
� Interactive Learning: This workshop is all about doing, not watching. You'll be up on your feet, working with scene partners, receiving feedback, and learning directly from one of the best in the business. Bring energy, curiosity, and a willingness to play.

Terms of the workshop:
This is an exclusive interactive workshop for just 16 participants per class.
The age range is 16 years and above.
Cancellation Policy:
-Cancel Less than 14 days and the full amount is liable. If we can rebook your place we can refund your money.
-Once the scripts are distributed, refunds for cancellations will not be issued. Please commit to the workshop date with this in mind.
-If we need to cancel a full refund will be given to each participant
Line Learning Commitment:
When you enroll, please commit to learning your lines. They don't need to be word-perfect, but having them off the page is respectful to your scene partner and allows you both to fully connect and make the most of the experience.
No-shows:
Additionally, we kindly request that if, for any reason, you cannot make it to the workshop, please let us know in advance. In recent times, we've observed a growing trend of no-shows, which can be disruptive and unfair to your fellow participants. Your timely communication will help us maintain a respectful and considerate environment for everyone involved.
