Ready to explore oil painting without the fumes? Join artist Rachael Duchnycz for this beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop focused on solvent-free oil painting—a safer, modern approach to a timeless medium.
In this fun and informative workshop, you’ll learn:
- Color mixing techniques
- Brushwork and layering basics
- How to use non-toxic, solvent-free materials for painting and clean-up
By the end of the workshop, you’ll complete your own small oil painting on canvas board and walk away with the skills and confidence to start your own healthy oil painting practice at home. Perfect for total beginners—or anyone looking to make the switch to a low-toxicity, eco-conscious painting method. Please note: Supplies are not included in the cost of the workshop.
Please note that our classes are typically held in the lower level of Arlene's. Because access to the lower level is available only by stair, please let us know if using the stairs presents any difficulty for you in advance of the class so we can make alternate arrangements. We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy and participate in our classes.
