In this newly commissioned dance show by Pjazza Teatru Rjal for its 2025 artistic season, award winning dance troupe THE MVMT (Concept of Movement) and choreographer Cheryl Lofreda ask a number of self-reflective questions on present day’s busy lifestyle. Why do I work like a robot all day long but can hardly find ten minutes of me time? Why am I surrounded with every imaginable means of communication, yet I find it hard to strike up a conversation? In this chaotic world, am I really living or merely existing? MONOTONIJA (Maltese for monotony) attempts to answer these questions in this 75 minute brand new dance show.
