Commencing Tuesday, December 3rd, we will be launching the fourth regional monthly peer group meeting. The group will meet at 6:30pm, on the first Tuesday of every month, in the Fellowship Hall of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Beaufort (UUFB), 178 Sams Point Road, Beaufort, SC 29907. The group will be moderated by Rick Hamilton and Kay Carr. We are most grateful that UUFB has offered their facility to us, creating two options for
LGBTQ+ peer group support in Beaufort County,” said David Lewis, the recently elected President of PFLAG Savannah.
The peer groups provide a safe and strictly confidential environment for LGBTQ+ individuals, their families, friends, and allies to discuss the challenges faced in coming out or being out in
neighborhoods, the workplace, school, or church. The organization offers resources for counseling, educating, and advocating to achieve an equitable, inclusive community where every LGBTQ+ person is safe, celebrated, empowered, and loved. Meetings are free and one does not need to be a member of PFLAG Savannah to attend. Minors under the age of 18 are required to come with an adult parent, guardian, or mentor.
PFLAG Savannah is a 501(C)(3) Nonprofit Corporation registered in the State of GA. We are not affiliated with any political party or religious organization.
