Roots & Roasts: An evening of Almonds & Wine with Viticulturist Richard Hoff

Join us for a unique educational event, the first of its kind. Mercer Wine Estates in Walla Walla will be hosting their Viticulturist and Almond Farmer, Richard Hoff to talk about their exciting new venture of growing almonds in Washington state. Mercer Ranches is currently the only commercial farm in Washington state growing almonds. It was previously believed the winters in Washington were too cold to grow almonds. However, the Mercer family discovered a climatic pocket on the Western edge of their farm where almonds are thriving. Richard will dive into what makes this region special, how almonds have evolved, the global production of almonds, and how Mercer Ranches aims to fit into all of it.

Tickets are $50 and will include a wine flight, almond flight, light snacks, and a seat at the seminar. The room is limited to 20 people, so buy your tickets before they sell out.
