Clay and Sip- Japanese Plate Making Set

Relax and unwind with friends or make some here! This fun class will take you through one of the oldest Japanese crafts of plate making using wooden moulds and a piece of foam. This is one of my favourite methods of making pottery. We will make a set of 3 nesting plates- serving, side and condiment sized. . Listen to some groovy tunes and sip on some tea or wine while we learn the slow process of hand building with clay. The class is Approximately 2 hours. After the class, your masterpieces will be left here to dry slowly, I will them give them a sand, bisque fire them, and hand glaze them in a white glaze and fire them again Ready for collection in approximately 5-6 weeks.
