What It Is:
Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is a nationally recognized certification program that equips adults to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance‐use challenges in youth (ages 12–18).

• Parents & Caregivers

• Coaches & Mentors
• Youth Workers
• Faith Leaders
• Anyone who works with or supports young people

What You’ll Learn:
• Common signs & symptoms of anxiety, depression, eating disorders, ADHD, and other mental health challenges in adolescents
• Warning signs of substance‐use issues
• How to approach and support a child or teen in crisis
• Strategies for connecting youth with appropriate resources
• Expanded modules on trauma, self‐care, social media/bullying, and substance‐use
