Landscape Painting in the Park Workshop 08/21 // All Levels // Wednesday

This workshop for acrylic and/or oil painters will cover the basics of landscape painting and provide students with the skills to render space two-dimensionally. Class will meet and work outdoors at a specific location across the area, or if the weather is bad the class date will be rescheduled. Students will learn composition, light and shading, and the effects of light on color to create a dynamic series of landscapes.

Class demonstrations will focus on subject selection, under-painting, personal expression, and creating a sense of space. One-on-one and group critiques will help students to take their work to a new level. This workshop is great for students looking to fill out their sketchbook, learn from painting in life, and looking to spend some time outside and/or out of the house this summer!
