Gamelan at the Library

Join us out on the library lawn to enjoy the music and spectacle of an Indonesian gamelan orchestra!

Gamelan is a unique form of music originating from the islands of Indonesia, the most well-known from Bali. A gamelan orchestra is often considered to be a single instrument, played by many people. We’ll be joined by members of Gamelan Sekar Swarasanti, an orchestra based in Santa Cruz County. Listen and learn with us!

We’ll be laying tarps out over the lawn for this event. Feel free to bring a blanket or mat for your own comfort.
