Poetry in Bloom

Bainbridge Island Press, Bainbridge Vineyards, and Bainbridge Gardens are teaming up for a new event "Poetry in Bloom." Selected poems will be displayed along the Bainbridge Gardens Nature Trail. The evening event will feature Bainbridge Island's Poet of the Year and Bainbridge Gardens sales associate, Makaela Smith, who will share selections of her works. Poetry Walk poets also will be able to read their chosen poems.

Bainbridge Island Press invites poets of all ages to participate in a Poetry Walk contest. Use the QR code to submit poems celebrating the natural beauty and wonder of gardens. Submission deadline is July 20, 2025. Winning entries will be displayed during the event.
