The Wildwood Civic Club is pleased to host the Annual Wildwoods Baby Waddle on July 29, 2025!! Pre-registration check-in is held at the Wildwoods Convention Center grassy circle from 9:00 a.m. – 9:25 a.m. with he baby races kicking off at 9:30 a.m. The Wildwood Waddle entails babies placed in the center of a round colorful parachute. The first one to crawl or waddle to a parent waiting in the grass at the edge of the parachute is declared the winner. The event will have two divisions: 1) "The Crawl" (open to infants 15 months and younger) and 2) "The Waddle" (open to all infants 24 months and younger). One winner will be declared in each division and receive a grand prize! The first 40 participants will receive a beach bucket filled with goodies. FREE to register & participate. Paid parking available at the Wildwoods Convention Center’s daily rate. Note: Pre-registration will close at 12:00 p.m. on July 28 and in person registration is available the day of the event.
RULES
· Children must remain in the sitting position in the center circle of the parachute until the starter whistle is blown.
· One parent/guardian can stay in the center of the parachute to help keep child in the sitting position until the starter whistle is blown. After the whistle is blown, the parent/guardian must vacate the parachute.
· Children participating in the waddle may not crawl once placed on the parachute. Children must walk or waddle to the grass.
· Children participating in the crawl may not walk or waddle once placed on the parachute. They can stand but cannot take a step.
· Parents/guardians may not toss or throw anything onto the parachute during the waddle or crawl.
· The first child who touches the grass with any body part from each heat will advance into the finals.
· Parents/guardians must remain completely off the parachute during the waddle and crawl.
· Parents/guardians cannot reach, lean or extend over any part of the parachute during the heat.
· No shoes on the parachute please.
