BARN conference: Methodological humility and ethical conundrums

Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to share our preliminary program for the upcoming conference “Methodological humility and ethical conundrums: Collaborative explorations in Nordic Childhood Studies” – enclosed.
The two-day conference, August 14-15, at ISAK youth culture centre, Trondheim, Norway, consists of a wide range of hands-on workshops on ways of conducting research with children and youth, yarns on research ethics, paper presentations, and the following key talks:
* Rose Martin (Nord University): “Harder than you think”: Recalibrating methodologies for radical hope in education
* Linnea Bodén (Stockholm University): Research on, to, with, for, by children – Where do we go from here?
* Iram Khawaja (Aarhus University): Methodological othering – on (colour-)blind angles, (de)colonial gazes and an ethics of discomfort
