Summer String Camp @ Beacock Music

This fun summer camp is for violin, viola, cello, and upright bass players of all ages! There are three different times each week for the different playing abilities. You can attend one class, two classes, or all of them, whatever your schedule allows! The classes will progress, but the curriculm is designed for pop-ins or people who miss a week.

Classes are $20/each or $120 for all 8. There will be a concert at the end, on August 23rd at 3:00pm

Level 1 | Novice | Wednesday | 3:00pm - 3:45pm | June 18th - August 20th
-Read and play notes on A,D,G strings
-Can count whole, half, quarter, and quarter eighth note combo.
-Some Slurs

Level 2 | Intermediate | Wednesday | 4:00pm - 4:45pm | June 18th - August 20th
-Read and Play on all 4 strings
-Can read and play 16th notes, triplets, dotted quarter notes
-Well acquainted with slurs.
-Violin/Viola Players - Some 3rd position | Cello Players - Some 4th position
-Some 6/8 time

Level 3 | Advanced | Thursday | 5:15pm - 6:15pm | June 19th - August 21st
-Has performed difficult rhythms
-Extensive work in shifting positions
-Ready for more challenging music
