The Mind of A Collector

Join Lone Star Quilt Study Group at the Museum of Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas for a day filled with (what else!) quilts.
Attendees will be treated to quilts that have been donated to the Museum of Texas Tech by Texas collectors and members of LSQSG and American Quilt Study Group.
We will view the current exhibit of quilts from the collection of Lisa Erlandson as well as enjoy a bed turning of Mountain Mist quilts from the collection of Marcia Kaylakie. As an added treat, Dr. Marian Ann Montgomery will share highlights of the Pat Nickols feedsack collection, the largest collection of feed sack materials in a public institution.
In addition to viewing the exhibit, the collectors will discuss what drew them to certain quilts, how they came to be “collectors” and how their interests have shaped their collections.
