Join us for what will be a fantastic evening celebrating award-winning writer and illustrator, Ruth Paul and her two, new books, Anahera: The Mighty Kiwi Māmā (Penguin Random House) and Ghost Kiwi (Scholastic).
Anahera: The Mighty Kiwi Māmā is the inspiring true story of one big, fierce mama kiwi, two caring communities, three conscientious kiwi dads, over 60 thriving chicks, and a wild population restored after a 150-year gap! This picture book written and illustrated by Ruth was a visionary conservation project that literally took place in her own back yard.
Ghost Kiwi is Ruth's debut middle-grade fiction novel, a thrilling eco-adventure filled with courage and friendship. It's sure to be a book loved by readers of all ages.
We will of course be celebrating You Can't Pat A Fish (Walker Books) which was also published this year. You Can't Pat A Fish is shortlisted for the NZCYA Book Hub Picture Book Award and the Russell Clarke Award for Illustration.
Capital Kiwi will be speaking at this event and Ruth will be signing books.
