Planted: A Day of Botanical Creative Practice (July)

This day long workshop, run by the artist “Camo”, will equip you with knowledge and skills to process natural ingredients into art materials. These practical processes will frame conversation about our place in the world, the challenges of living in a changing climate, how connecting with nature supports our health and the joy of being absorbed in creative processes.
During the day we will make a botanical ink*, use inks made with kitchen waste and native wild plants, learn how to modify the colour range, use earth pigments and learn about how to process them, make a sketchbook and use a variety of mark-making tools to draw plants.
Participants will each leave with their sketchbook full of samples and sketches they’ve made, a bottle of ink made on the day and knowledge about how to make their own botanical ink.
