Choose a subject and render it as realistically as possible. The class will address how to make shapes, add values, and how shadows can be used to define objects. If desired add pen and ink, colored pencil, watercolor, pastel, or a medium of your choice to colorize your drawing.
Suitable for all skill levels. Ages 16+. Instructor: Melissa Gannon
Supplies:
The only required supplies are pencils or a ballpoint pen, eraser, and paper. You’re welcome to bring charcoal sticks, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, pastels, or pen and ink, if you prefer working in those mediums. Bring whatever you’re comfortable with.
Supply recommendations:
Pencils (#2 is just fine) or 2-6 B drawing pencils are nice
Charcoal sticks-optional
Ball point pens-any pen will do
Drawing paper - newsprint pad to practice techniques
Acid-free drawing paper for more finished drawings, something in the 9x12’ range is a good size, but you’re welcome to use bigger or smaller
Eraser - kneaded erasers are nice and soft but any eraser is fine
Tissue for smearing pencil - optional
