Celebrate Independence Day in a calm, inclusive, and joyful environment tailored for individuals with Autism, sensory sensitivities, Veterans, and pets. The Sensory Sensitive 4th of July Celebration is a free community event designed to reduce sensory overload while still delivering all the festive fun!
π What Makes This Event Special?
Weβve reimagined the traditional 4th of July experience with thoughtful modifications for guests who benefit from a sensory-sensitive atmosphere:
No Fireworks β replaced with a stunning Star Spangled Glow, a wearable LED light show
Live Music β featuring Reputation, a Taylor Swift Tribute Band, with controlled sound levels
Interactive Fun β balloon art, face painting, Creature Teacher animal encounters
Pet-Friendly β leashed furry friends are welcome
Calm Zone β a quiet indoor space at Town Hall for anyone needing a break
Autism-Trained Staff β restaurant teams and volunteers are prepared to create a supportive, respectful environment

To support a positive experience, we encourage families to explore our "What to Expect" Story together beforehand. Complimentary earplugs and pom-poms will be available at all booths, and we recommend bringing personal comfort items, snacks, and lawn chairs or blankets for relaxed seating.
