Helms Family Gravel Challenge (60 mile & 24 mile)

Come out and join us on Saturday, July 26th, to support the Helms family. This ride is in support of Nichole Helms as she battles cancer. Her husband, Brandon, has been in the cycling community for a long time. Always encouraging, willing to lend a hand- Brandon and Nichole are just great people. So, let's surround Brandon and his wife with support and encouragement from the cycling community, too!
This unsupported ride will take place on gravel roads with some paved road sections within the Uwharrie Forest. It will be a fast but fun challenge. Please take the time to download your chosen route. Signal can be spotty in the area. In addition, please make sure you are following the laws of the road: this includes safety gear such as helmets, lights, and wearing bright colors.
As we are in a recreational area, please be aware of mixed traffic. You may run across horseback riders. Please be respectful.
El Dorado Outpost has welcomed us to use their facilities. They are a fully-stocked outpost and will have smoked BBQ available for purchase after the ride.
No registration fee, taking voluntary donations only.
