We at Jay's Tree would like to invite you to our annual event. our event is located on the Columbia River 80 miles east of Vancouver, Washington and 80 miles West of Hermiston, Oregon. We have picked a center location that seems to work out for everyone. We put on a raffle and silent auction at our events as that is how we host them each year with the proceeds. of course we also take donations. For our silent auction we ask that you bring a basket that's contents are worth $20.00 or more as we start the bidding at $20.00 and that is to be paid at the time of receiving your basket if you are the lucky winner. The raffle we ask that you bring new or slightly used items for the raffle table. Dollar store items work out great too. We sell the raffle tickets 5 for $5.00 or $1.00 a piece. This event we have a group campsite that has a large covered area that has electricity, sink and power. We also have a few RV sites that have water and electricity. our site also has numerous tent sites that we could probably hold 100+ tents. The park is very clean and the restrooms are close. Showers are free. If you like to swim or play in the water there is beech access very close. If you prefer to fish there is that too. There are plenty of tourist attractions very close like Stone Henge that is a major tourist attraction. There are also wineries very close if you're into sampling wines and there is also Mary Hill Castle if you like history. our events come at no cost to you as we supply the group campsite and all the food from Thursday night on. We do breakfast on each day and then the potluck on Saturday as we do ask that you bring a dish or something to munch on. Our event comes at no cost to you other than your gas to get there or those things that you might want for your own campsite. Each year many bring food and we all end up throwing it in together and some like to prepare their own little special meals in your campsite. There is also a very large fire pit that we all sit around and make s'mores and tell stories or laughing and joking around. Alcohol is bring your own bottle if you consume alcohol. Our events are not a drunken party and we ask that you respect that as this event is family oriented. You are welcome to invite your family and friends as this event is open to the public. The dates of this event work out great as it's the weekend before Labor Day weekend and also school starting. So if you are interested in attending our event please hit going on the event as that gives us an idea of how many are coming and how much food we need to buy. I do ask that you don't hit going and then not show up as that has been a problem in the past and we end up with leftover food. We don't like seeing food go to waste as we pass out the remainder of the food on Sunday as we are tearing down camp. So now you have a few months to plan your vacation to come hang out with us and enjoy yourselves for 3 fun filled days. Thanks again for being a member of Jay's Tree 🌴 and making these events possible. Thanks for your host Jay Gollyhorn. If you have any questions you can contact me on messenger or contact me and I will give you my phone number. We are always open to those that might be interested in volunteering to help cook. We hope to see you there.
