POSCA Marker Art with Lynae Hanson

Artist Lynae Hanson will lead you through an upbeat tutorial where you’ll learn about POSCA markers and how to use them to create colorful works of art. POSCA markers are paint pens that allow you to paint effortlessly on almost any surface, without the fear of “messing up.” These markers are vibrant, easy to use, highly opaque, quick drying, and blend when wet. If you create a shape or mark you don’t like, you can simply cover it with another layer or color. For this class, we’ll be using a set of eight 5M POSCA markers and an 8X10 matboard. Before class, participants should plan out their creation. Ideas include: flowers, your pet, a house portrait, a closeup of a bug, fruit - pretty much anything! To create your sketch before class, stop by Carden Custom Framing to pick up your matboard, before the class starts. Let them know you’re signed up for the marker class and they’ll provide the matboard at no charge. For those who prefer to wing it, there will be blank matboards and loads of inspiration ideas provided during class. Let’s have some fun making marker magic!
