Intermediate to Advanced Glass Beadmaking with Sage Holland

This two-day workshop is for students who have anywhere between 1 month to 10 years of glass beadmaking experience.

We will proceed through a fast pace of techniques such as complex dotting, multiple layers of stringers and layouts for feathering and surface manipulation, transparent color overlays and clear casing over details, and simple or complex murrini canes, depending on the students’ personal interests. We will make at least 4 kinds of twisted canes and use them on several shaped beads. We will make folded beads, disk beads, and bent beads. There will be a chance to make faces, fish, or vessels, all using skills for design learned in this workshop.
