Model Rockets

Join the Pack for Rocket Night! We will meet at the Old River Soccer Fields.

There are two ways for your scout to enjoy this activity.

1. Buy a model rocket and motor, help your child build it, and bring it to the shoot.

- Model rockets can be purchased at The Hobby Shop (near the Dayton Mall) or from Amazon.com

- Building a rocket is a lot easier than it seems!

- The easiest rockets to build are the Estes E2X (Easy Build) Rockets - less than 30 minutes to build and they do not require paint

- You will need the following:

- A rocket. They start at less than $10

- A few rocket motors (the box for your rocket specifies what size motors will fit, or just ask the folks at The Hobby Shop)

- The Pack will bring launchers and wadding (looks like toilet paper, protects the parachute inside the rocket)

2. Skip the build and just show up on July 23rd! No rocket required.

- We will have a few extra rockets and motors.

- Your child will be able to participate in preparing and shooting a rocket.

- They'll also enjoy running to catch the rockets as they parachute down
