IN A LANDSCAPE: Dunes Meadow Park

For the 10th season, IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild tours the American West. Mountain tops, old-growth forests, and sunny meadows replace the traditional concert hall in the series featuring pianist Hunter Noack on a 9-foot Steinway concert grand piano. Listen through wireless headphones and wander afield with the music as a soundtrack to your experience in the wild.

Lesley Miller Dunes Meadow Park, a serene 200-acre coastal preserve, honors the legacy of conservationist Lesley Miller. Her dream was to provide the people of Gearhart with “a place to play baseball, football, have a picnic, or just sit, relax, and watch the sunset.” The park’s vistas offer an uninterrupted view of the Pacific coastline, ancestral territory of numerous tribes including the Confederated Tribes of Siletz, The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, Clatsop-Nehalem Confederated Tribes, Chinook, Cayuse, Umatilla, and Walla Walla peoples.
