OLD FASHIONED FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION AT FOUR MILE COMMUNITY CEMETERY
You are invited to come to our annual celebration on 460 VZ County Road 2607 Mabank, TX 75147 At Hwy 90 & VZCR 2607, 2 miles East of the Prairieville Grocery Store.
This marks our 177th year and it begins with a cemetery business meeting at 10:45 AM. The Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 AM and end at 11:45 AM. Vicar Ed Fiducia will be bringing an inspirational memorial message.
Veterans who are in attendance will be recognized, and the names of deceased veterans will be called along with the tolling of the bell.
At 11:45 AM we will raise the flags and sing the Star-Spangled Banner.
Donations will be taken for the upkeep of the cemetery, ONLY. IF YOU HAVE LOVED ONES BURIED HERE, WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! Lunch will begin at 12:00 in the parish hall. Here you will have an opportunity to give a FREE WILL OFFERING. We are providing brisket, hot dogs, tea, water, plates, cups and utensils. We ask that each family bring a large dish of your choice, vegetable, salad or dessert to share with others. Bring more if you like. ITβS A POTLUCK!
To raise additional donations for the perpetual care of the cemetery, we will have both LOUD and Silent Auctions during the lunch. This lasts until 1:30 PM. This year, we will include in the auctions HOMEMADE BAKED GOODS so bring your BEST for the AUCTION!
Plots in this peaceful, lovely cemetery are for sale for $100.00 ea. if you are a member of Four Mile Lutheran Church or $300. ea. for non-members. Cremation spaces are $150.
Please visit our museum of Four Mile Lutheran Church, the oldest Lutheran church in continuous service in Texas, located in the parish hall. Several books are available for purchase.
