Introducing the Michigan RecoveryCon & Film Festival
CARE is excited to announce the inaugural Michigan RecoveryCon and Film Festival on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Macomb Community College β Center Campus. This all-day event will feature prominent leaders in substance use treatment and recovery, along with panels aimed at reducing stigma and fostering community. The culmination of the day will be the MI RecoveryCon Main Event, where two professional wrestling legends will take the stage to share their inspiring stories of triumph over adversity and their recovery journeys from substance use disorder (wrestlers to be announced this summer).
MI RecoveryCon and Film Festival will host various recovery-focused groups, including 12-step support, multiple pathways to recovery, and mental and physical well-being workshops. Allies and family members affected by a loved oneβs substance use will also share their insights through panels, workshops, support groups, and discussions. The day is designed to welcome everyone who may be impacted by substance use.
The Film Festival portion of the event will showcase independent films centered on themes of substance use and recovery, along with captivating art displays created by talented members of the recovery community.
