Award winning singer Tony Haley performs a unique collection of classic country and rock and roll songs. From early Elvis, Buddy Holly and Marty Robbins to Johnny Cash, Ricky Nelson and Jimmy Buffett
Tony began in music in the late 70’s as guitarist, sax player and vocalist in rock & roll band Eddy Haley and The Starliters. Through the 1980s and 1990s he continued in a similar vein with ‘irreverent rock band’ the Zarsoff Brothers and rockabilly/swing bands the Eddys, The Comets and Indigo Stomp.
In the late 80’s The Eddys teamed up with LRB vocalist Glenn Shorrock and toured the country in a series of successful stage shows. With The Eddys, Tony performed at two Grand Prix Balls, the America’s Cup Ball, the opening of Sanctuary Cove and countless corporate functions throughout Australia and South East Asia. They also performed on the Ray Martin Show, the Don Lane Show, the Bert Newton Show and a couple of times on Hey Hey It’s Saturday. Tony also played with Doug Parkinson in his Buddy Holly Show spin off.
Tony’s work lately has him performing with Julie Gilmore in their Shindig rock and roll show and with Andrew Leonard in their Sinatra and Dean Martin ‘Ratbags Show’.
He is also working with Tennesee, the young Elvis performer, as his guitarist and background vocalist.
Tony performs regularly in Canberra at events at the Canberra Labor Club, the Southern Cross Club and the Hellenic Club.
