Join GOHS for our final historical marker unveiling of the season for McDonald Tavern (now Stewart’s Shop, 47 Main Street), on Thursday, August 28, at 3pm.
McDonald Tavern, razed in 1961, was one of the first operating taverns in Oneonta and the alleged birthplace of acclaimed photographer of the West, Carleton E. Watkins.
All historical marker unveilings are free and open to the public and press.
