At the heart of the evening is a live, high-energy “Chopped”-style competition (ingredients unknown to competitors, the team must prepare bite-sized appetizers to be judged). The event will feature students and aspiring high school chefs from Southcentral Alaska. In addition, guests will be treated to hearty appetizers and live local music.
We are pulling back the curtain—literally. A seasoned emcee will host live, interview-style coverage of what’s happening behind the scenes in the competition kitchen. These segments will be streamed throughout the dining room, giving guests an inside look at the creativity, hustle, and passion driving our student chefs.
Throughout the evening, hospitality professionals will be on stage and in the kitchen to help guide and “navigate” the night, supporting student competitors and showcasing the career mentorship NACE represents.
As we await the judges' decisions, guests can enjoy a lively live auction featuring local experiences, goods, and services—plus plenty of prizes and surprises to keep the evening festive and engaging.
All proceeds benefit the NACE Anchorage Chapter and its mission to support education, mentorship, and professional development in the catering and events industry.
