Make & Take Summer Astronomy Camp

The telescope is the most basic tool of the astronomer. With instruction and assistance from Imperial Centre education staff, participants age 7 and up will learn some basic astronomy, build and learn how to operate their very own refracting telescope, useful for observing the Moon and other celestial targets. Hands-on activities will include a variety of telescopes, moon maps, star charts, other observing equipment. Drop-off and pick-up are at the Children’s Museum & Science Center Classroom. Campers will then participate in hosting the free public Star Party at City Lake Park, (weather permitting) on Friday evening, August 1, 2025, at sunset.
