Photography Camp: Session II
For campers entering grades 9 – 12
July 21 through July 25 (1 week) | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Discover a new way of seeing and explore digital photography in a fun and exciting summer Photography Camp at Ogden Museum. Campers will learn the basic elements of photography such as composition, exposure, lighting and the functions of the camera while creating meaningful and thought-provoking work. Campers will also explore elements of photography such as storytelling, portraiture and documentary through daily field trips to area arts institutions. Back in the classroom, campers will practice art critique and build a portfolio of work.
To close out the week-long program, campers will select work from their portfolio to showcase in a student-curated exhibition opening on White Linen Night at Ogden Museum.
Campers are encouraged to bring their own digital camera or phone camera. A limited number of digital cameras are available for campers to use at the Museum. Campers should come to camp each day with a water bottle, snack, lunch and an extra layer.
