Festival of Small Halls - The Caves

Festival of Small Halls is a series of tours that takes the best folk and contemporary acoustic artists and sends them on the road to tiny halls in communities all over Australia. It is produced by Woodfordia Inc in partnership with many other wonderful Australian festivals, regional partners and great lovers and supporters of folk and contemporary acoustic music.
The Caves Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Darumbal People.
The Caves Hall was originally known as The Caves School of Arts when it was built on the site in 1925. It was used for picture nights and dances.
In April 1947 the Fitzroy Public Hall at Etna Creek was purchased as an extension of the hall. In 1947 electricity was installed and power in 1948.
A dinner dance was held in the hall in 1999 to celebrate 75 years and old-time dances are still held at the hall to this day.
Festival of Small Halls rolls into The Caves on Sunday, 13 July 2025 with Champagne Weather and Charm of Finches.
