Loch Ossian Youth Hostel

The Club has booked the iconic and very popular Loch Ossian Youth Hostel for this weekend. If you have never been to Loch Ossian before, it is an amazing place. Firstly, you can only get there by train, and you alight at Corrour Railway Station in the middle of the moor. There is then an easy 20 minute walk on the track to reach this cosy hostel, which is perched on the edge of Loch Ossian itself. The hostel has changed a little over the years – there are no longer any gas lamps! The stoves make it cosy during the winter. Beinn na Lap (935m) and Carn Dearg (941m) and a few more munros are within a short distance. It is also possible to cycle, walk or run around the loch (12 km).
