Citizens around the world are collaborating in all kinds of fascinating science and engineering projects using the internet and GPS.

In this talk, local resident Richard Bates will describe a few projects he's currently participating in, such as locating lightning storms, detecting meteors, tracking air and marine traffic, and operating packet radio stations.

5:00-6:00pm at the Jackson Memorial Library, located at 71 Main Street in Tenants Harbor, Maine. This event is free.
