If you've never played with cold wax medium and you want to loosen up your style, this workshop is for you! Cold wax is a creamy, non-heated beeswax medium that transforms oil painting with its unique properties. When mixed with oil paint, it spreads like cake frosting, creates beautiful translucent effects, and allows light to filter through the layers beneath. Adding cold wax to oil paints opens up a whole new world of creative possibilities. Using simple, everyday tools like wood skewers, plastic cards, spreaders, and bowl scrapers, you can create rich textures and expressive marks that give your work depth and a sense of mystery in the layers underneath.
