Description: Come to Seven Islands to learn about all 60+ species of fish we have around our park with the backdrop of the beautiful French Broad River! Participants will watch a presentation with details about all the amazing fish that could potentially be found in our section of the Lower French Broad River. We’ll also learn about river habitats, the dangers affecting the survival of some species, and the conservation efforts you can participate in to help protect them. After the presentation, we will hike to the bridge and Newman’s island to potentially find some fish to observe. (No rod and reel fishing, only net observations).
