Tangled In Blues is a five piece Blues band from Knoxville, Tennessee.Their repertoire consists of original tunes, classic covers, and some lesser known gems from across the Blues genre. Music that travels from Chicago to the Delta thru Texas to the West Coast; from Jump to Rhumba to Rock’n’Roll to Funky and beyond!
What started six years ago as the acoustic guitar duo of Jaimie Cameron and Michael James, Tangled In Blues soon expanded into a trio with the addition of Dick Quila on harmonica and vocals. After playing a few coffee-houses and some happy-hour gigs, they found themselves longing for a full-band sound, so Michael James switched to bass, Michael Jordan was added on guitar/vocals and Jeff Hauschildt was added on drums. Jeff eventually left the band to pursue other endeavors and Randy LIbby ended up in the drum chair.
Some of Tangled in Blues accomplishments:
In 2022, they recorded and released their self-produced CD of all original music “World’s Going Crazy”.
Also in 2022, they won the local “International Blues Challenge” and went to Memphis in January 2023 to compete with over 200 bands from around the world.
In August 2023, they opened for the fabulous Veronica Lewis at the Levitt Amp concert series in Middlesboro, Kentucky.
