Plays-in-Development Jr.: "The Albino Woman of the Kaw River Valley (Dun Dun Daaaaa!)" and "Places!"

Each season, The Sauk searches for plays that are still in the development process. We match playwrights with directors and then actors to help workshop the play, making improvements to the script throughout the process. Then, public readings are held and the audience is invited to share their feedback. Playwrights leave the process with advice from a director, a cast and an audience. This year, we are adding a Saturday afternoon Plays-in-Development Jr. to the lineup featuring script written by local teenagers.

This is a "Pay What You Can" event. Tickets are not sold in advance. Tickets will be available starting one hour prior to the event.

About "The Albino Woman of the Kaw River Valley (Dun Dun Daaaaa!)
Ron and Randy visit an old woman to confront their fear of the legend surrounding her, but she is not what she seems, and it will turn out to be a night they will never forget. Dun dun daaaaa!

About "Places!"
It’s ten minutes to places for the opening night of β€œThe Butler Did It!” and Sophie, a new actress, worries about what could go wrong. Violet, a veteran actress, gives her soothing advice to calm her nerves and put on a great performance.

Plays-in-Developwment Jr. is sponsored by Walmart. A grant from the Walmart Foundation encourages local writers to inspire to get their work produced at The Sauk.
