Celebration of life

I’m creating this event because someone needs to. It’s been 12 years since I got out, less and more for others and some who are still in. We have had Marines who have died since we left Afghanistan and Okinawa.
I feel like this should be an open invitation to any who served with us out there and who deployed with us. I don’t want to put a time frame on it. I feel like anyone who feels like someone who impacted them within their years at CLR3 or CLB4 or surrounding units should be free to be invited.
No rank should be excluded.
I feel like we could all make an excuse on how we can’t make it on that weekend but the outpouring of comments that said they would have made sure they were at Gunny Cox’s celebration of life shows that we can all find a way to celebrate the lives we’ve lost but also the lives that we still have.
I speak for myself but I know I’m not alone that there are so many more people who are still alive by chance, by accident, or by the fact that their attempt/s failed.
This is for the ones we have lost, the ones we haven’t, and the ones we could.
I love you.
