Named after a sacred blue deer that symbolizes transformation and spiritual guidance, this evocative piece transports listeners into a world of cultural and musical discovery. The program culminates with Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5, a towering masterpiece written during World War II that embodies optimism and perseverance. Prokofiev described it as “a hymn to free and happy humanity,” with its soaring melodies, powerful brass fanfares, and dynamic energy reflecting the indomitable spirit of the human race.
