Beach Seine Event

Come join the Great Pond Foundation scientists for a unique opportunity to see how to use a beach seine! This rectangular net is attached to two poles and stretched across the running tides and slowly brought to shore to see
what species we can catch and identify .
Now the fun begins! All creatures
large and small can be caught in a seine. We will be sorting the catch and placing critters in touch buckets and tanks to identify and inspect.
