WW2 Victory Day - Pamplin Park

The annual War in the Pacific event at Pamplin is expanded this year in honor of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. This year's event will see units from both Europe and the Pacific participating. Due in no small part to the normally high temperatures in central Virginia in late August, we will continue to make this our key Pacific Theater event.
This year we will continue with our portrayal of the 11th Airborne's February 23, 1945 raid to liberate the Los Banos Internment Camp in the Philippines. We also be including an expanded medical section portraying the role of Army doctors, medics and nurses during the liberation of the Philippines.
