Join us in celebrating 103 years of Gus!
Gus the Gopher Tortoise has called the Museum home for many years. Each August, we celebrate his hatchday (aka birthday). In 2025, we're celebrating his 103rd hatchday!
Party details (updated July 23):
Morning celebrations begin at 10am with crafts, photo opportunities, scavenger hunts, and a special Gus story time at 10:30am.
11am official singing of happy hatchday to Gus and the start of his morning walk!
Cupcakes and lemonade available to visitors after the start of the walk.
Afternoon celebrations begin at 1:30pm with crafts, photo opportunities, scavenger hunts, and a special story time with Gus at 1:30pm.
2pm official singing of happy hatchday to Gus and the start of his afternoon walk!
Cupcakes and lemonade available to visitors after the start of the walk.
And special party guests!
