Join Jim Beloff, author, composer, and performer, for an afternoon of song and Ukulele music!
Jumpin’ Jim’s series of ukulele songbooks has over 1,000,000 copies in print and his most recent album, The Wind and Sun, was released in August 2020. A new album, Mid-Century Modern, is expected to be released sometime in 2025.
There will be two family-friendly Ukulele workshops offered on August 18, 2025. The first is the Beginner’s Ukulele Workshop (1:30 p.m – 3:30 pm), for the Ukulele enthusiast who would like to learn how to play.
The second is the Advanced Beginner/Intermediate workshop (4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.) for those who know a handful of chords and a basic up/down strum. This is the chance to take your skills to a new level. A dozen well-known songs will be played while learning more chords, new fingerings, new strums, transposing on the fly and performance tips and techniques along the way.
Participants of these family-friendly workshops must be age 10 or older and bring a GCEA-tuned ukulele. Enroll with your child or friend and enjoy some island vibes at the Kate! Space is limited.
Class length 90m to 2hr
For any person interested in attending both workshops, be sure to purchase a ticket for each session.
