We return once again to this deeply loved location for both guests and staff. We first met the Thaxtons on our 2011 tour. To say we’ve become close to Fred and Chris’s family over the years is an understatement. One year, the Thaxtons spent a portion of their winter vacation with the OITF crew in the Florida Keys. Chef Vinnie is a master in the field kitchen and is in his element, surrounded by a field of fresh vegetables. As the smoke clears, it’s magic on the plate. Vinnie is a semifinalist for a 2025 James Beard Award as Best Chef: Great Lakes. His restaurant in downtown Cleveland is absolutely gorgeous. Go check it out if you have the opportunity.
