Knitting for Newcomers (2 sessions)

Saturdays July 5 and 12, 10-1:00. Best for anyone new to the fiber arts or for picking up knitting again after a hiatus. Learn cast on, knit & purl stitches, following a pattern, and casting off. Project can be expanded to make mitts or scarf. All supplies included in class fee (skein of locally-dyed wool yarn, knitting needles, stitch markers, project bag). No prerequisite required.
This class is being offered on the 1st and 2nd Saturdays of the month thoughout the summer. Student may choose to attend on a different day for the second session if it is a better fit for their schedule or they need more time for practice.
Open Stitch Circles are being offered on 3rd and 4th Saturdays, which gives students an opportunity to continue practicing in a supportive community.
