With music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and a compelling book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable features all your favorite classic songs including, "Under the Sea", "Kiss the Girl" and "Part of Your World."
The Little Mermaid tells the story of Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, who longs to live in the human world. After rescuing Prince Eric from a storm, she falls in love and strikes a dangerous bargain with the sea witch Ursula - trading her voice for legs and three days on land for the chance to find true love's kiss. But when Ursula attempts to sabotage Ariel's chances, the stakes rise and Ariel must race against time to reclaim her voice and her destiny.
A Ghostlight is a single bulb left onstage when a theatre is unoccupied, providing safety in the dark and honoring theatrical tradition. Legend has it that the light keeps spirits at bay - or gives them a spotlight of their own.
