Cnicht Mountain Circular

When viewed from the south-west, particularly from the direction of Porthmadog, its shape has led to it being nicknamed the "Matterhorn of Wales", despite being 3,789 meters shorter. In actuality, Cnicht is a long ridge and, at 689 m, is the fifth-highest peak in the Moelwynion mountain range.

Level; challenging, steep terrain, a good level of fitness required.
Walking shoes or trail shoes recommended. Can be wet underfoot.

There is no scrambling on these walks, but some sections may be steep and may require a hand or two! My Sunday Mountain walks are fully supported and will be led at the participants pace with plenty of rest breaks to take in the views.

Waterproofs and suitable footwear will be essential.
