Rush & Wild Rose Baskets

Spend a day in the woods, round a camp fire, making a frame basket using wild rose and true English rush (Schoenoplectus lacustris). These beautiful, tactile platters are perfect for bread or fruit.

We’ll harvest some wild rose for making frames. English rush is a delightful material to work with, a native plant with a long history of use in basket making. It makes a lovely partnership with the wild rose.
