We are delighted to share that the Irish Red Cross, in collaboration with The Alternative Project, a project in Athy funded and supported by The Probation Service, will deliver workshops on Tuesday, July 1st, and Wednesday, July 2nd.
The workshops we will deliver include the Culture of Non-Violence and Peace (CNV) and Peer Support Preventing Relapse (PSPR). Both workshops are peer-led and discussion-based, allowing the group to draw on their lived experiences and share valuable insights to raise awareness, learn tools and skills, and support each other.
CNV focuses on violence prevention. During this workshop, we cover topics such as violence prevention, stress, anger, behaviours, and goal setting.
PSPR emphasizes how peers can support each other in preventing relapse. The workshop covers topics such as the benefits and consequences of using, triggers and how to manage them, cravings, and creating action plans.
